What is CBD?

Cannabidiol (CBD) belongs to a group of non-psychoactive substances called cannabinoids contained in the cannabis plant, which has long been in the shadow of its psychoactive counterpart – tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). CBD is non-toxic and has unique antioxidant properties, without the side effects of THC. This means that its use does not affect our attention or perception of the world around us. The antioxidant power of CBD is significantly higher than that of vitamin C or vitamin E. Scientific research has shown that cannabidiol protects nerve cells against oxygen deficiency and against various poisons. Cannabidiol is most commonly used in the form of oils. The individual oils differ in their active substance content. And that’s why you can find oils from 5% to 30% in our offer. The most common and effective way of use is the application of drops under the tongue, from where they are quickly absorbed and bring the desired effect in record time. If this method does not suit you for any reason, you can add the drops to any food or drink.

What is MCT oil?

MCT oil is derived from coconut, which has a naturally high content of triglycerides produced from medium chain fatty acids.

Medium chain fatty acids are considered best for use with CBD oils because their shorter structure allows them to be absorbed immediately by the digestive tract instead of being broken down into smaller pieces first – which would mean a much slower rate of absorption.

Learn about CDB and its benefits

Stress, anxiety, insomnia problems, difficulty concentrating or even epilepsy, diabetes and other more serious diseases … The solution to these problems has one thing in common. It is a substance called CBD, which, especially recently, is finally gaining the attention it deserves and has been denied for years.

Athletes, people suffering from various diseases, pet owners and, in fact, everyone else, began to notice the beneficial effects. CBD has something to offer to almost everyone. Let’s take a closer look at its miraculous effects.

Without hesitation, we could say that CBD helps almost always and everyone. It is known for its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. One of the main benefits is the high antioxidant effects, thanks to which it fights free radicals in our body, and thus prevents the development of many diseases or directly helps with their treatment and also relieves nausea and pain.

And when exactly can CBD help?

Stress and insomnia are problems that a large part of the population suffers from. They are the result of a hectic and unhealthy way of life, which we could boldly consider a symbol of today. However, what begins relatively innocently can eventually lead to more serious health problems, such as depression, anxiety, or a variety of psychosomatic illnesses. In such cases, the harmonizing effects of CBD, which contribute to overall reassurance and relaxation, are highly valued. Another of the very common problems that CBD can playfully deal with is weakened immunity. If you are often overwhelmed by the flu or a cold in the colder months, CBD oil will become your effective weapon.

The beneficial effects of CBD in the treatment of ADHD in children, diabetes, epilepsy, intestinal disorders and Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s disease have also been studied in the long term. The reasons why CBD is involved in treatment are various. One of them is, for example, a natural supplementation of an endocannabinoid, which is produced by a healthy organism itself, while in some cases the organs that produce it are attacked by the weakened one. In addition, CBD can help stop or slow the growth and spread of cancer cells. For this reason, it is an indispensable aid in the fight against cancer. Recent studies have also shown beneficial effects in the treatment of autism.

However, we are far from the end of this team. The effects of CBD will also be appreciated by all those who would like to be better focused on work and less procrastinating in solving study and work tasks. In addition, with regular use, the risk of being affected by so-called Burnout syndrome, which is characterized by a complete loss of motivation and general fatigue and affects many people working across different positions and departments. And if you like to run around after work or go to the gym, then you will certainly appreciate the increase in performance or better regeneration after physical activity.

And when we say that CBD is for everyone, we really mean it literally. Cannabidiols can also be used by pets suffering from anxiety, epilepsy, chronic pain or other more serious diseases.

So we should have a theory. Now is really the high time to stop reading about the miraculous effects of CBD and try them “on your own”.

How does CBD work?

The human body has a so-called endocannabinoid system, the activity of which is responsible for a number of other processes. According to scientific knowledge, it affects everything from mood, memory, motor functions through the functioning of the immune system, reproduction, bone growth to the perception of pain, appetite or sleep.

The main role of the EC is to maintain homeostasis in the body, and according to a number of studies, CBD and other cannabinoids appear to help restore balance if this “balance” is disturbed. The mentioned endocannabinoid system occurs completely naturally in the body and cannabinoids are its natural stimulus. CBD acts on the CB1 and CB2 receptors, which form said endocannabinoid system. While CB1 receptors are found primarily in the brain (but also in the liver, kidney, or lung), CB2 receptors are part of the immune system. And here it finally starts to get interesting. This is because CBD interacts with receptors in a slightly different way than some other cannabinoids, such as THC. THC binds to both CB1 and CB2 receptors. The result is then an altered state of mind that is so typical of THC.

CBD does not have psychoactive effects, i.e. it does not cause such a condition, but moreover it functions essentially as a barricade between THC and said receptors, thus preventing THC cannabinoids from binding to the receptors, thus causing that altered state of consciousness. It then facilitates interaction with receptors for other cannabinoids that are beneficial to the body. However, a feature that owes its popularity to CBD is its ability to act on receptors outside the endocannabinoid system. In addition to the CB1 and CB2 receptors, which belong to the endocannabinoid system, CBD also interacts with serotonin receptors, with the vanilloid receptor, with the so-called Orphan receptors (GPR55) and finally with nuclear receptors.

CBD and sports:

When CBD is mentioned, all athletes should be sharpened. This inconspicuous substance can significantly help in their efforts, in a completely natural way. For cannabidiol (CBD), a number of positive effects have been investigated in relation to sports performance. So what does CBD help us with?

Muscle regeneration

Muscle regeneration is the alpha and omega of any sport activity. Whether you want to gain muscle mass, stay in current condition, or plan to lose extra pounds, it will not work without properly evaluated muscles. CBD can help a lot here, in several ways. The most basic is the elimination of stress, tension and solving insomnia problems. Cannabidiol directly contributes to better and longer sleep. It is sleep that has (not only) a miraculous effect on muscle regeneration. However, we are far from over here. CBD is also a mild pain that is associated with regeneration after increased physical activity. In addition, it counteracts the onset of inflammation, as athletes often encounter them during the regeneration process.

Building muscle mass

Hand in hand with regeneration is also the positive effect of CBD on building muscle mass. Of course, if you expect your muscles to grow in front of your eyes, you will be a little disappointed. However, if at least a slight acceleration of muscle growth is enough for you, CBD will be the right choice. This is also confirmed by bodybuilders, among whom cannabidiol is very popular.

Burning excess fat

Yes, you read that right! CBD in combination with MCT oil can really help shed some extra pounds. Again, we can owe this to the already mentioned effects, which affect our sleep or mental well-being and also take care of muscle regeneration and growth. However, in the case of weight loss, another effect is important, this time on our metabolism. CBD can affect our metabolism in the best possible way.

Increase performance and concentration

The last benefit we must mention is the impact of CBD on performance and concentration. It is the combination of these two factors that is key in sport, but it is not always possible to achieve it at the same time – among the supplements for athletes, there are a number of those that affect performance, but often at the expense of concentration.

CBD and its use in pets

Has your once cheerful four-legged pet become a bundle of nerves? Or did you get an unpleasant diagnosis of epilepsy or other diseases from your last visit to the vet? Do not panic. Instead, explore the possibilities of using CBD. The miraculous effects of this substance do not have to help only people.

When can CBD help?

There are not many studies yet, so some experts are mildly skeptical of administering CBD to animals. Nevertheless, a series of veterinarians have already appeared who choose CBD as part of treatment – and they are seeing very good results. These were finally recorded in the studies performed so far and are also confirmed by the owners, who have decided to apply the oil or capsules to their pets themselves.

For many animals, CBD helps to manage epilepsy, anxiety and stress, relieves pain, improves the immune system or eliminates digestive problems, and thus increases appetite. There are even cases where CBD has helped to completely cure arthritis, heart problems or even cancer and metastases. In addition, it acts as a prevention of many diseases and improves the mental state of pets.

Which dosage to choose?

The great advantage of CBD is its plant origin without chemicals and supplements. However, it is necessary to monitor the quality of the product so that the composition stated on the packaging corresponds to reality. Good CBD should not contain more than a trace amount of THC, as this substance is toxic to animals. Despite all the benefits, it is then necessary to work with CBD oil very carefully and monitor its effects, because your pet will have a hard time telling you how he feels or whether CBD helps him. But you don’t have to worry about anything. The prevailing opinion among experts is that there is no significant risk of administering CBD to animals.

Only pay attention to the correct dosage. In case of first use, it is advisable to start with the lowest possible dose. You can then start to increase the dose easily, but always wait at least five days for the next increase.

Ideally, animals should use CBD in the same way as humans – by dripping under the tongue and swallowing. If you can’t talk to your four-legged friend about this procedure, you can add oil to his meal.

Who can use CBD oil?

Studies show that cannabis extract with CBD can be well tolerated by many. Despite all this, CBD oil is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women and children under 5 years of age.
